Millie

Millie is a delightful little pup, about 5 months of age. She is living proof that good things come in small packages! Millie was brought to our spay-neuter clinic on July 30 along with about 6 other puppies belonging to a very poor family. She is from another, older litter, and we do not know anything about her parents.

The family who had her is extremely poor and had more than 12 dogs and puppies living in complete squalor  on their property. Millie was very timid and hand shy when we got her. She would flatten herself on the ground and close her eyes.

We persuaded this family to surrender Millie and the smaller litter of puppies to us as they clearly were not thriving in this situation.

She has really come out of her shell and is a spunky, friendly little pup. She will not be a very big dog. She is a great fetcher and player of tug. She gets along with all the other puppies and dogs at the rescue, and loves to cuddle on the sofa with her people.

She can be a bit of a barker, and would likely do best in a home with older children or adults. She is spayed, up to date on her shots, and ready for adoption.

We are a small organization dedicated to helping dogs and cats in Antigua. We sterilize, rehabilite and find homes, and work with other rescue groups.
