On March 21 we found a sweet mama dog tied outside the rescue, with a box of five tiny puppies beside her. The puppies were only about a week old, and their eyes were still shut. We have no idea who left them, but we certainly know why.

We brought them in and got them settled as quickly as we could. Mama Kiko is a phenomenal mother, and as sweet as sweet can be. With enough food and a secure and safe place to raise her babies she is doing a wonderful job.
