Bam Bam

Bam Bam is one of eleven gorgeous puppies who were rescued just before birth by friends Gerson and Tessa. The couple found a mother dog giving birth behind the market in Antigua on July 20, 2015. They couldn’t leave her to have her babies on the street, and took her home. To their unhappy surprise, Mama Kate as they dubbed her proceeded to produce 12 babies! Eleven survived, and so began a long two months caring for mama and a mob of little ones.

We took the babies for periodic play dates and social times and received the bulk of the puppies upon weaning. Several went into local foster homes. The pups have all be sterilized, are up to date on their vaccinations, and several have now been adopted in the Bay area.

Bam Bam is a darling puppy, friendly, outgoing, playful and smart. He plays well with other dogs and puppies. He is being clicker trained and has already learned many basic behaviors including “sit”, “down”, a hand target, and to walk on a leash. He has a great recall and is learning to sleep in a crate.

Bam Bam has finished his puppy series vaccines, has been neutered and dewormed. He is ready for his furever family to find him.

We are a small organization dedicated to helping dogs and cats in Antigua. We sterilize, rehabilite and find homes, and work with other rescue groups.
