Rosey

Rosey was found by a kind Guatemalan in a street behind the Antigua market. Some children had her and were trying to sell her for about $2.00. The woman questioned them, and found that Rosey was clearly not their dog. She took the four month old puppy and went door to door asking if anyone knew her. No one did, so she called us. We posted Rosey as found, believing that someone must be looking for her, but no one ever stepped up to claim her.  Eventually we spayed Rosey and placed her in adoption. A puppy this cute and sweet doesn’t stay homeless for long. She was very quickly adopted by a visiting nurse, and moved to Vancouver Island. Sadly, her adoption didn’t work out as Rosey decided she didn’t like the family’s female lab. The Vancouver Island Humane Society found Rosey a new home with a wonderful couple, and Rosey is now an only pup, and doing great!

We are a small organization dedicated to helping dogs and cats in Antigua. We sterilize, rehabilite and find homes, and work with other rescue groups.
