Puppy Torie came from a very poor community near Antigua called La Rinconada. The animals are mainly in poor condition, and the people don’t have resources or access to veterinary care.

Torie’s mother had severe mange, and one of her sisters had already died of parasites when we visited. Torie was staggering and bumping into things, a condition caused by an extremely heavy infestation of worms.

We treated all the animals in the area, and took Torie for emergency veterinary treatment. With parasite medication, she recovered fully in just a few days.

Torie is an extremely sweet puppy who has been raised in a wonderful foster home with multiple dogs and puppies. She is outgoing, friendly and very social. She is 4 months old and available for local adoption.
