Roosy

Roosy was trapped on the median on the busy highway between Antigua and Guatemala City. She had been hit by a car, and was injured and bleeding. Francesca managed to stop and grab her before she was struck again. Roosy was lucky. She only had a cut that needed suturing and bruising and soreness. No one ever claimed her.

Roosy is a darling dog. She is adorably Benji-Tramp scruffy. She is great with other dogs and lives peacefully with cats in her foster home. Her first love is people, though. She is playful and silly and loves to fetch and tug.

Roosy is full grown, between a year and a year and a half old, and medium energy. She would love an active home with family who enjoy playing and hiking and romping on beaches. She is soft and gentle and easy to walk on leash. She doesn’t stray from you, and she rides beautifully in the car. This dog is a real gem.  Her coat looks wiry but is very soft. And she has eyelashes that women would kill for!

Roosy is fully vaccinated, spayed and healthy. We are polishing up her base training and she will be ready for adoption soon!

We are a small organization dedicated to helping dogs and cats in Antigua. We sterilize, rehabilite and find homes, and work with other rescue groups.
