We think that little Boots was about 10 months old on intake. She was wandering on the street and probably had been dumped by someone. She wandered into Vet Pro, and of course big-hearted JP couldn’t turn her out. She is spayed, healthy, and as sweet as can be.
Boots is short haired, has a docked tail (maybe natural, perhaps not), and is long and lean. She is agile and quick and loves to play. She likes all people, and loves attention and to be petted. She gets along great with the other dogs, and loves to play with them and with toys. She does play rough and has a roller-derby queen play style. She can be a little rough on the younger puppies, but with the bigger, older dogs she does just great.
She is a zippy, energetic little pup, eager to earn treats and smart and attuned. She has really great basic obedience (sit, down, stand, short stay), walks great on leash, has an excellent recall off leash. She stays close on walks and rides fine in the car. We are still working on her crate training, but she does settle.
Boots is now about a year old. She is full grown at 25 lbs, is spayed, vaccinated and is ready for adoption. She is a wonderful little dog who will make a great companion.
