Sweet lovely Maisey is just under a year old. She was hit by a car and suffered a fractured femur. Unfortunately, she either didn’t have owners, or if she did, they didn’t bother to take her to a veterinarian to be treated. So Maisey’s body healed all on it’s own, leaving her right femur shorter than her left.
Team member Francesca found her in poor shape on the street in San Miguel Escobar, a town near to Antigua.
Maisey is a delightful, bouncy, sweet and friendly young dog. She is great with other dogs (she lives with many dogs of all ages in her foster home, along with several cats and children). She is great with people and loves kids and adults alike. She is learning her basic behaviors and is very food motivated, so learns fast and loves her training.
Maisey is fully grown and weighs just under 25 lbs. She has a soft, slightly shaggy mid-length coat, and is not a heavy shedder. She gets around fine on her healed leg. Aside from a slight hitch in her gait she runs and plays as though she was never injured. Maisey is spayed, fully vaccinated and in great health.
