Tomassina arrived on the mountain on Friday, April 21, 2017, directly from being spayed. She was brought in by friends who have watched her have litter after litter after litter of puppies. They think perhaps 50 puppies since they have known her. She had “owners”, but was always out on the street. This poor dog is just worn out, and our friends asked her humans if they could take her and close the puppy factory once and for all.
Her owners agreed; she is old and not very pretty anymore, and has terrible skin issues, so they really didn’t want her…
Tomassina is recovering nicely from her spay and she is quiet and sweet and very gentle. She smells to high heaven with her nasty skin condition, and was absolutely filthy. Terry bathed her today, and she has been wormed, vaccinated, and treated with Bravecto for her skin issues.
She is old, so likely won’t be adopted. We welcomed her to the senior porch dog gang where she will live with Yancy, Canela, Somalia and Sam. She will spend her days soaking up sunshine on soft grass, eating avocados, and having belly rubs galore.
Welcome, sweet Tomassina!
