Ava

Ava was picked up by Team member Francesca, who saw her in the middle of the street, surrounded by a bunch of male dogs. Ava was in heat. Barely out of puppyhood herself and so tiny to be making her way on the street, Francesca swooped in and grabbed Ava to prevent more unwanted puppies.

She got spayed and came up to the rescue where after a couple of days, she did warm up with the people and will now come along for pets. She’s friendly and playful although still a little shy with people she doesn’t know. Currently, she’s getting introduced to the other dogs. She is delightfully playful and would love to have a doggy companion in her home.

Ava is tiny, weighing only 17 lbs and is about a year old. She is a gentle soul, very affectionate and loving. She would do great in a home as a second dog, and probably would do best in a quieter home. She is spayed, vaccinated, and is ready to be adopted.

We are a small organization dedicated to helping dogs and cats in Antigua. We sterilize, rehabilite and find homes, and work with other rescue groups.
