Dobby

Dobby was found by good samaritans in a nearby town. They contacted us asking us to take the puppy, and when we had located a foster for the pup, the kind folks couldn’t find the sick puppy. The pup reappeared almost two weeks later, in even worse shape than before.

We received Dobby on November 24th, 2015. She was extremely malnourished, had two kinds of mange, two kinds of seborrhea, an overlying skin infection, major internal parasite infestation, and a severe kennel cough.

Dobby has made a remarkable recovery and is doing very well. Her kennel cough finally resolved after a second course of antibiotics. Her skin has responded nicely to daily medicated baths, and her hair has grown in soft and thick.

Dobby is a spunky, friendly, affectionate and well-behaved puppy. She will be small-she is already between 5 and 6 months old, and weighs under 20 lbs. She is playful and loves people and other dogs. She is cat friendly. She has a very cute habit of “talking” when she is excited and has a growly, torch singer roar.

Dobby is learning basic obedience behaviours (Clicker trained), is already crate trained, and has never soiled in the house. She has a great “sit”, “down”, and hand target. She walks very well on leash and is very engaged and affectionate. She comes when called and stays close when off leash. She rides great in the car and loves to be your copilot. She is a wonderful little pup and will make a lucky family very, very happy.

Dobby is healthy, up to date on her shots, is now spayed. She is available for adoption.
