John

John and Jim were born to a litter of four puppies, but the mother dog accidentally killed two of her puppies by lying on them. The area they were born in was filled with rubble and dangerous holes, and when they were about two weeks old, John disappeared for a couple of days.  Friends Tessa and Gerson had been visiting the mother dog, feeding her and checking on the puppies. They were heartbroken when they thought that a third puppy had been killed, but finally hearing its cries, they located John where he had fallen down a hole. Jim and John are the only two surviving puppies from their litter.

Not willing to take a chance at losing him, too, they decided to take both puppies home in foster. They kept the pups for a couple of weeks until we could receive them. Jim and John have since been fostered with Linda, one of our founders.

They are now three months old, healthy, sweet, and affectionate puppies. They love people, love other dogs, and have been raised with other dogs and a cat. They have beginning obedience skills and have been clicker trained. They ride beautifully in the car, love to play and are delightful, balanced puppies. They are up to date on their shots, have just been neutered and are ready for wonderful families of their own.

We think they will be mid-sized dogs when adult.
