Oslo

Oslo is a medium sized black adult male. He is about 3-4 years old, and spent the last year or more of his life roaming in the semi-abandoned coffee farms at the south end of Antigua.

He is one of the many dogs we have been feeding and working to catch and sterilize. The majority of those dogs are very spooky, feral, and difficult to catch. Not Oslo. He was always friendly and sweet, coming over and asking for pets and following the humans around.

Oslo was not born feral. He has a scar around his throat that indicates he belonged to someone and was tied for a good part of his life. We brought him in to neuter and release back to the farm, but he was so sweet, so gentle, that we just couldn’t do it!

He was very, very lucky, too. A lovely family in Guatemala City saw him on our social media feed and asked about him. We felt that Oslo would be a perfect family dog, gentle and great with children, loving with the adults, easy going and resilient. His family came and picked him up August 22 and he is currently on trial adoption and is loving soft beds and family life!

We are a small organization dedicated to helping dogs and cats in Antigua. We sterilize, rehabilite and find homes, and work with other rescue groups.
