Piri Piri

Piri Piri was picked up on a highway south of Antigua when he was only about 7 weeks. He was terrified and sitting in the middle of a busy road. He was in a foster home and was doing great with other dogs and with all our student volunteers. He then joined us on the Doggy-Mountain where he met new friends and where he received training.

Piri is now about 1.5 years old. He is a slightly shy guy, who bonds very nicely with his caretakers and people he knows. He is not outgoing with new people, preferring to remove himself and watch from a distance, but he  warms up if allowed to do so at his own pace.

Piri is wonderful with other dogs and puppies of all ages, and plays beautifully with all. He really likes little people and is gentle and snuggly with them.

He is a fantastic trail companion and stays close, checking in with you when off leash. He is strong, athletic, and loves the outdoors and adventures in nature.

He is not hyper and he settles nicely inside, but he is sound sensitive and we would ideally place him in a quieter home with not too much ambient noise (suburban or sem-rural rather than urban). He would do great in an active, outdoorsy home with humans who run, bike, hike or adventure.

He is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and very healthy. He has basic manners and obedience, walks beautifully both on and off leash, and rides great in the car.
