Sasha is a beautiful pure bred Golden Retriever. She is one year young, and was surrendered to us by her owners after they realised that breeding and selling dogs was more complicated than they originally thought. Sasha came into the rescue on January 7, 2015. Sasha is not yet spayed and is in training. She is wonderful with people but is dog aggressive and cannot be allowed near any other dogs. She is not yet spayed, and will be available for adoption after she is sterilised, and has basic obedience. We hope to be able to work through her dog-aggression before placing her. We would welcome a sponsor for Sasha to help us with the cost of her sterilisation ($75) and monthly maintenance ($40 per month).
Update: Sasha has been spayed, has undergone extensive rehabilitation and training for her dog aggression and lack of early foundations. She must be introduced to new dogs carefully, but can get along with most other dogs now. She is now a typical, loving, energetic Golden. Sasha has been adopted and now lives on Long Island with her new family (including a very sweet, tolerant older Golden).
