Lorenzo

Lorenzo was lying in the middle of the mountain road near the rescue when Terry returned from a trip to the city. She slowed to give him time to move, but before he could move away, and man came over and began kicking him. Terry jumped out of the car, heated words were exchanged, and the dog was said to be a stray. She picked him up right then and there and brought him to the rescue.

Lorenzo is about a year and a half or two years old. He is a beautiful dog, and very sweet. He loves people. He gets along with all the dogs and puppies, and he is great with people of all ages. He is smart and food motivated, and LOVES training. Lorenzo always has a happy smile and is one of the nicest dogs we have ever met!

Lorenzo attended an 8 week training course with our volunteers (16 hours of training), and has a strong base in his obedience behaviours. He has an excellent recall and is great off leash. He rides great in the car. Lorenzo likes to paw your arm for attention. We are working on reducing this behaviour through training, as although it is very cute, it can be annoying. He has reduced his pawing, and we are sure that it will continue to decrease when he is in a home and not competing for attention with a large number of dogs.

He is neutered and up to date on his shots, and very, very ready for a home of his own!
