Mia is one of six puppies who were rescued along with their mother from Escuintla. The mother was very ill and could not swallow any food. Rescuer Francesca took her to her veterinarian and under sedation he found that she had a splintered chicken bone caught in her throat which prevented her from swallowing. Subsequently, they discovered that she has difficulty chewing due to an old, poorly healed fractured jaw.
Despite this, she is a wonderful mother and managed to raise 6 beautiful, friendly healthy puppies. The mother is now spayed and will be adopted by a woman from her old neighborhood.
Mia is a sweet female with beautiful grey and cream markings. She is spayed, up to date on her shots, and is in the San Francisco Bay area. She is doing well with her training and living with a lovely foster family. She is about 4.5 months old and ready for a home of her own.
