Babe

Babe was left tied to a tree outside the rescue on August 10th. She was absolutely terrified, shut down and shaking. We brought her in, got her bathed and dewormed, and she settled pretty quickly.

She became very ill a few days after we got her-our vet said is was a protein absorption problem, caused by malnutrition. She was nursed intensively for several days by a wonderful foster mom, and miraculously, she pulled through.

Babe is now about 4 months old, healthy, sweet, and playful. She loves people-loves to cuddle and loves to play. She is great with other dogs and puppies, and is okay with cats, although a little fearful of them. She is a sturdily build puppy and looks like she will be smaller to mid-sized. She has a wrinkly face and double chin, making her look like she has some Shar Pei in her.

Babe has some basic obedience, is doing well in her crate and house training. She loves to chase and fetch toys and balls, and she loves to play tug. She is a very people-oriented pup and loves to be  close to you. She is spayed, up to date on her shots, and ready for a family of her own.

We are a small organization dedicated to helping dogs and cats in Antigua. We sterilize, rehabilite and find homes, and work with other rescue groups.
