Paca

Paca was found on New Year’s day by friend and volunteer Francesca Luissi while climbing the Pacaya volcano.

Paca was born near the top of the volcano, and lived there with her mother and littermate. As the puppies grew, one by one they were taken by people. Paca fell down a deep crevice on the volcano, and spent four days trapped there before someone managed to reach her and pull her out. She was dirty, thin, and in poor shape, so no one wanted her.

The mother dog and her pup followed Francesca and her group, and she decided that this pup needed help. Paca was fostered by Francesca over the holidays, and is currently being fostered by a lovely family with three young children.

She has had her first vaccines, first wormings and flea control. She is scheduled to be spayed in mid January and will be available for adoption after that.

Paca is slightly shy until she gets to know you, and is somewhat fearful of new dogs. We are socializing her with nice, balanced dogs and puppies. She is very cat friendly.

We are a small organization dedicated to helping dogs and cats in Antigua. We sterilize, rehabilite and find homes, and work with other rescue groups.
