Rosalina

Rosalina, and her sisters Blanca Estrella, Mapache and two other siblings were born in the market in Antigua. Their mother tried to keep them safe and fed, but by the time they were two weeks old, two of the pups had been taken by the indigent people living in the market and sold for pennies.

Good samaritans brought the mother (who was suffering from a terrible skin condition) and the three remaining puppies in to their home and fostered the family. Mama dog is now healthy and will be available for adoption soon, too.

We made sure that the puppies were dewormed and vaccinated on schedule. We have had many puppy socials with these beautiful pups, and all three are sweet, friendly and outgoing. They love people and have been socialised with children, other dogs and puppies, and many different people. They are smart and already learning basic obedience behaviours like “sit”, “down” and “target”.

Although their mama is a medium sized dog, we think that Rosalina will be a big dog. She will also have medium length hair. Rosalina is about four months old and is available for adoption.

Rosa is a very sweet, people oriented, affectionate pup. She is mellow, great with other dogs, and loves children.

Her foster mom says, “She’s super chill in pretty much every situation we’ve put her in – nothing phases this girl!  We brought her to the Sacramento farmer’s market yesterday and she did awesome!  Met so many people, kids, and dogs (she wanted to play with every dog she saw of course!)” She is a wonderful pup, hoping to find her furever homes soon!

We are a small organization dedicated to helping dogs and cats in Antigua. We sterilize, rehabilite and find homes, and work with other rescue groups.
