Agador

Agador is a one year old Shepherd mix. He is s stunningly beautiful dog, sleek, lean, and very athletic. Agador was one of a litter of elven puppies we took in last year. His mother began to give birth behind the market in Antigua, and good friends scooped her up and took her home so she could have her puppies in safety.

Agador (who we called Toto) was the tiniest of the litter; so small we weren’t sure that he would make it. But make it he did! He was  a survivor from the very first. When weaned, he was lovingly fostered in a wonderful home with many children and six other dogs. He is beautifully socialised and gets along with dogs , kids, and adults.

He also has a very solid training base (taught with positive reinforcement (treats) and clicker.

Agador was placed with a family when he was approximately 3 to 4 months old. The family has cats, and although he grew up with them, he never really stopped chasing them. The family grew frustrated and surrendered him back to us recently.

Agador does have a high prey drive, so needs to live in a cat-free home (bunnies and chickens would likely fall into this category, too). He is an active dog who loves to hike and run. He is currently in foster with one of our Bay Area volunteers, getting a brush up on his training. He is a fantastic young dog, and very ready for adoption.

We are a small organization dedicated to helping dogs and cats in Antigua. We sterilize, rehabilite and find homes, and work with other rescue groups.
