Lady was rescued by Tessa and Gerson last November. They brought her to a spay and neuter clinic and we fell in love at first sight. Lady had not had an easy time of it. She was young and in terrible condition. She had one of the worst cases of mange that we had seen in a long, long time. After many months of treatment and love with our friends, her skin is healed and she is now a beautiful, sweet dog.
We had wanted to bring Lady in to our rescue for quite some time, but due to space, we couldn’t. Lady finally arrived with us today and she is settling in nicely. Lady looks like a mix of heeler and Shar Pei, but we have no idea what her actual breed mix is.
She is a calm, friendly dog with people. She is a little reserved with new dogs at first, but happily plays with dogs she knows. She is sweet and affectionate and loves kids.
We are starting her training, but she is so easy, Lady could be adopted any time. Lady is currently in foster with friends Erin and Gabriel, and their lovely dog Lucy. They report that Lady is just fabulous in every area, zero reactivity on leash, great recall, playful and affectionate with them and with Lucy. She is house trained, and has perfect house manners. She is about a year and a half old, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and healthy.
