Pipo

This is one of six puppies who were rescued along with their mother from Escuintla. The mother was very ill and could not swallow any food. Rescuer Francesca took her to her veterinarian and under sedation he found that she had a splintered chicken bone caught in her throat which prevented her from swallowing. Subsequently, they discovered that she has difficulty chewing due to an old, poorly healed fractured jaw.

Despite this, she is a wonderful mother and managed to raise 6 beautiful, friendly healthy puppies. The mother is now spayed and will be adopted by a woman from her old neighborhood.

Pipo is a sweet, silly, people loving puppy. He is great with all the other puppies at the rescue, and plays well with them. He is appropriate and does well with the adult dogs, too. He is doing well with his basic training, and he is easy to train and food motivated. He loves people and is great with kids, too.

Pipo is neutered, up to date on his shots, and ready for a home all his own.

We are a small organization dedicated to helping dogs and cats in Antigua. We sterilize, rehabilite and find homes, and work with other rescue groups.
