Sura

Sura is one of six puppies who were rescued along with their mother from Escuintla. The mother was very ill and could not swallow any food. Rescuer Francesca took her to her veterinarian and under sedation he found that she had a splintered chicken bone caught in her throat which prevented her from swallowing. Subsequently, they discovered that she has difficulty chewing due to an old, poorly healed fractured jaw.

Despite this, she is a wonderful mother and managed to raise 6 beautiful, friendly healthy puppies. The mother is now spayed and will be adopted by a woman from her old neighborhood.

Sura is a female with possibly the best eyebrows around. She is about 10-11 weeks old. She was fostered for a month by a wonderful family  with her brother Seyit. Sura is not being fostered in a home with another dog and getting lots of one-on-one attention. She is a sweet, friendly girl. She is not yet spayed, but could be adopted locally.

We are a small organization dedicated to helping dogs and cats in Antigua. We sterilize, rehabilite and find homes, and work with other rescue groups.
